| 1. |
Ask yourself if the article you're submitting
is really of interest to Submariners. This may seem like an obvious one,
but we've had some strange submissions in the past. |
| 2. |
Check to see what articles are already on the
site. If your idea is not already covered, then read on: |
|
a |
Articles should be detailed but not overly technical in
jargon. |
|
b |
If your article requires images, they should be your
original artwork or scanned from a personal photo. Saved as .jpg or .gif
file format. Non-animated. No flash files and please zip them up. |
|
c |
Plain text is the preferred format for submissions but if
you wish to send us a MS Word document, that's okay too. Do Not send
HTML. |
|
d |
Please don't submit articles that have not
- been spell-checked
- been checked for grammar
- been checked for technical accuracy
|
|
e |
Finally, remember that you are writing for the web, not for
print, so be as clear and concise as possible. |
|
f |
And finally (no, we mean it this time, really), bear in
mind that the more you stick to these guidelines, the less we have to edit
and re-work, and therefore the quicker your piece gets published. |
| 3. |
The Submariners Association (Barrow Branch) or
I W Hillbeck shall not be liable for the content or any copyright
infringement by another party; before submitting content that is not
original work, ensure you have legal permission to submit the material. |
| 4. |
We do not pay for submissions. |
What Happens Then?
Your submission will be assessed by the webmaster and an acknowledgement sent to
